- Hole GWM-17E-06: 4.0% zinc, 4.7% copper and 2.8 g/t gold over 2.7 metres, including 1.0% zinc, 11.2% copper and 7.8 g/t gold over 0.5 metre.
- Hole GWM-17E-14: 6.0% zinc. 1.3% copper and1.5 g/t gold over 2.7 metres, including 10.4% zinc, 0.7% copper and 2.5 g/t gold over 0.7 metre.
- Hole GWN-17E-09: 2.7% zinc, 0.9% copper and 0.4 g/t gold over 2.7 metres, including 7.8% zinc, 1.4% copper and 0.9 g/t gold over 0.5 metre.
Galway is now drilling a deep target to test the down-plunge extension of the high grade mineralization below the former mine under the Main zone. The hole will reach approximately 975 metres below surface, or 775 metres below the bottom of the ramp. The company thinks this area may be a potential source vent to the mineralization because of its higher copper grades and increased width of the zone.
Last year the Galway released resource numbers for the Estrades property. The Main and Central lenses contained 1.3 million indicated tonnes at 7.95% zinc, 1.12% copper and 3.89 g/t gold. The inferred resource – in the Main, Central and East lenses – is 1.2 million tonnes at 4.31% zinc, 1.46% copper and 1.54 g/t gold.
