ONTARIO The PROSPECTORS AND DEVELOPERS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA, with the generous support of BARRICK GOLD, is hosting a two-week workshop for 23 post-secondary geology students.
Speakers will present their thoughts on everything from the exploration/mining cycle to wilderness safety. In between are topics covering regional and locational geology, 3-D visualization, database management, research, raising venture capital, geophysical methods, mapping, and much more. The PDAC has also arranged field tours of the Noranda and Timmins mining camps as well as the Sudbury Basin.
An opening wine and cheese reception is to be held Sunday, May 6, 2007, at 6 pm. The wrap-up dinner will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 at 6 pm in the Inco Cavern at Science North in Sudbury.
