ONTARIO — Toronto-based junior Claim Post Resources has drilled a previously undiscovered VMS system 9 km southwest of the old Kam Kotia copper-zinc mine and 9 km west of the former Jamison mine. The company holds claims in the Kamiskotia Lake area, 20 km northwest of Timmins.

A series of centimetre-wide layers of semi- to massive sulphides comprised of pyrite and pyrrhotite were encountered during diamond drilling in the Fugro anomaly 4. Chlorite and sericite alteration is associated with the sulphides. A down-the-hole EM survey confirmed the main anomaly and indicated a second deeper off-hole response that needs to be evaluated, said the company.

Diamond drilling to test the Fugro anomaly 2 cut a broad intersection of trace to 30% sulphides approximately 450 metres below surface and coincident with lithological changes from mafic to intermediate to felsic rocks. This anomaly has been traced over a 1.0 km by 1.5 km area.
