PORTUGAL - Vancouver's PRIMARY METALS INC. has a new resource estimate that will support tungsten production at its Panasqueira mine for at least eight more years.
The estimate, calculated in accordance with NI 43-101 guidelines, totals 4.65 million tonnes in all categories. Proven and probable reserves are 1.39 million tonnes grading 0.233% WO3. Indicated resources are 3.26 million tonnes at 0.263% WO3, and inferred resources are 1.61 million tonnes at 0.224% WO3.
"We are particularly encouraged that these reserves and indicated resources are located above our existing Levels 2 and 3 and may be readily accessed by lateral mine development. There appears to be no immediate need for early development of the new Level 4 in the mine in order to access inferred resources," said PMI's chairman Lewis Black.
