BRITISH COLUMBIA –
Happy Creek Minerals of Vancouver is pleased with the results of geological work at its 100% owned Fox tungsten property in the south central Cariboo, 70 km northeast of 100 Mile House. Mapping, sampling and prospecting were performed from May to November 2015 focused on the Deception Mountain area where the BN, RC, BK and North zones are found.
The company noted three promising results:
- At the BK zone, two new outcrops were located, one of which assayed 3.57% WO3, 0.34 g/t Au, 2.9 g/t Ag, 1,060 g/t Bi, and 3.5 g/t In from a grab sample.
- The rock layer hosting the BN, RC and BK zones was traced continuously over more than 2 km at the surface.
- Two more tungsten-bearing layers were discovered at higher elevations along the northeast side of Deception Mountain. Grab samples returned 0.10% to 0.29% WO3.
This year Happy Creek intends to further evaluate the RC zone and do environmental and other work to advance the Fox project. Trenching and drilling of the new South Grid target will begin in May 2016.
