Sitka Gold (TSXV: SIG; OTCQB: SITKF) is advancing its RC Gold project in the Yukon, drilling multiple instances of visible. The drilling, focused at the southern Blackjack zone, uncovered visible gold within metasedimentary rocks intersected by quartz monzonite dykes. Notably, holes 61 and 62 revealed abundant sheeted quartz veining and visible gold, with hole 62 reaching a depth of 530.0 metres.

The ongoing exploration aims to expand upon the newly identified Blackjack mineralized corridor south of the existing gold deposit. With six drill holes totaling 2,636 metres completed this year, a second drill rig has been mobilized to  the km2 project area.

CEO and director of Sitka Gold Cor Coe said, "Initial observations of these drill holes indicate that robust gold mineralization persists up-dip and projects to surface.”

He noted that the Blackjack deposit is wide open Blackjack, and Sitka continues to explore other high-priority targets across Clear Creek Intrusive complex.

The RC gold project spans an area within Yukon's Tombstone gold belt, positioned between the Eagle gold mine and the Brewery Creek gold mine. Sitka announced an initial inferred mineral resource estimate of 1.3 million oz. of gold on Jan. 19, 2023, with the high-grade Blackjack zone contributing 900,000 oz. at 0.83 g/t gold.
