Alexco Resource Corp. has updated and expanded the indicated resource estimate for its Bermingham silver deposit in the Keno Hill silver district.
The indicated resource is now 1.7 million tonnes grading 628 g/t silver and containing 33.3 million oz. of silver. Both tonnage and contained metal numbers are up 93% from the previous estimate completed in January 2017.
The inferred resource is now 616,550 tonnes up 180% from earlier estimates. Although the grade was down 32% – 526 g/t – because the tonnage was so much larger, the contained silver was 10.4 million oz. or a 92% gain.
Alexco says its district-wide indicated mineral resources at Keno Hill is now thought to contain 84.0 million oz. of silver. The inferred resource contains 23.0 million oz.
