GREENLAND - Vancouver-based TRUE NORTH GEMS has committed $9.5 million for a pre-feasibility study and continuing exploration of its ruby-bearing prospects in Greenland.
The recommended 2008 program will proceed on two fronts. The first is advanced exploration and pre-feasibility at Aappaluttoq. This program is an engineering study to address issues of resource determination, site pre-engineering, mine plan design, process plant design, initial permitting, environmental and socio-economic planning and development. There will also be more bulk sampling, grade confirmation drilling and pilot processing of ruby-bearing material.
True North will conduct regional exploration designed to continue the definition and evaluation of other ruby occurrences identified to date on the Greenland properties.
The company's Fiskenaesset property is located on the southwest coast of Greenland. See www.TrueNorthGems.com for more information.
