GREENLAND — True North Gems of Vancouver is making plans to develop its Aapaluttoq (a-pa-loo-tock) ruby project. The scope of work is expanding to an environmental study and engineering to develop a comprehensive mine plan. The plans will be submitted to the Greenland government which may ultimately issue a mining permit.
The Aapaluttoq properties has yielded a 0.69-ct ruby valued independently at US$3,220/ct and a 0.96-ct pink sapphire valued at US$460/ct.
A fact sheet comparing rubies and diamonds is posted at www.TrueNorthGems.com.
