STOCKHOLM – Atlas Copco has introduced a new HB 4100 hydraulic breaker that it says is lighter, performs better and is more efficient than its predecessor. The company said it is in the “double-digit percentage range” better.

Reduced weight and better performance means that similar results can be achieved with a smaller hydraulic breaker and a smaller excavator. That saves investment and operating costs. Total cost of ownership is reduced by conserving energy and work time, and the HB 4100 is durable and easy to maintain, says Atlas Copco.

The guide system of the hydraulic breaker was changed in order to make it more stable and resilient. To ensure long life, the new breaker also has a protective retaining bar, reinforced service window, and wear protection around the circumference.

As the model number suggests, the HB 4100 has a service weight of 4,100 kg and is suitable for carrier machines from 40 to 70 tonnes.
