YUKON – Construction – including roads, waterlines, settling ponds, camp, and processing plant – is complete at the Indian River placer gold mine 30 km south of Dawson City. A 150-m3/h mining plant was installed. It includes dirt moving equipment, processing plants, power generator and pump stations.
While the infrastructure was being built, approximately 25,000 m3 of gravel was stockpiled. Processing some of the stockpile resulted in the recovery of $70,000 worth of gold. Full production is planned for the 2013 season.
The Indian River project is a joint venture between Klondike Gold Corp. of Vancouver and private company 46799 Yukon Inc. More information is available at KlondikeGoldCorp.com.
