Nine Mile Metals (CSE:NINE; OTCQB:VMSXF) has received the ALS Global Labs certified assay results for volcanogenic massive sulphide holes CL2208 and CL2211 at its initial phase 1 drill program at the California Lake VMS project in the Bathurst mining camp (BMC), N.B.
Hole CL2211 was a step out hole collared approximately 20 metres north of discovery hole CL2206 and drilled to a depth of 80 metres intersecting four zones of VMS mineralization between 51.1 metres and 62 metres.
Hole CL2208 was collared near hole CL2206 and drilled at an azimuth of 312° to a depth of 89 metres intersecting VMS mineralization between 65.3 metres and 72.5 metres.
VMS mineralization in both drill holes was predominantly zinc, silver & gold mineralization, with individual sample sections up to 11.54% zinc, 123 g/t silver and 1.70 g/t gold. Lead mineralization was much more discreet, the company says. Both drill holes demonstrate that the multiple mineralized zones are open in both directions along strike and depth.
“To have a 10.9-metre mineralized finger system with these results, only 50 metres below surface, is extraordinary. We are also highly encouraged by the silver and gold results in this system and are highly motivated for the 2023 follow up program with our advanced proprietary technical systems. We are concentrating now on a designed program to explore the entire 1.5 km long target feature to identify the source at depth,” said Patrick J. Cruickshank, CEO & director of Nine Mile Metals.
