SUDBURY, Ont. Recent surface and underground drilling is expanding the Inter Main and East Main deposits at the former McCreedy West nickel mine. Sudbury Joint Venture partners DYNATEC and FNX MINING believe that with platinum group credits, the mine may be reopened.

The partners already reported results from five deposits (Inter Main, Upper Main, East Main, 700 vein, and 950 vein) at McCreedy West that total 1.74 million tons in the measured and indicted categories and a further 376,000 tons in the inferred category. These numbers exclude the PM and Boundary zones.

The ramp has been reconditioned to the 1600 level. The 950 level and 2,900 ft of the 1600 level have also been put back into working order. Underground drilling from these workings will test the Inter Main and East Main deposits and the PM zone.

Drawings and more information about the various mineralized zones can be found at www.fnxmining.com by clicking on Properties and McCreedy West.
