GREENLAND – Vancouver-based
North American Nickel (NAN) has received the final assays from the 2015 diamond drilling program at its Maniitsoq nickel-copper-cobalt-PGM sulphide project.
The best hole, at P-013, returned 0.94% Ni and 0.44% Cu over 11.95 metres and 0.57% Ni and 0.15% Cu over 25.10 metres. At P-032 the core assayed 0.58% Ni and 0.14% Cu over 8.00 metres. Anomalous values were also encountered in two holes of a northern regional program.
NAN CEO, Keith Morrison, commented, "The positive drilling results from both P-013 and P-032 indicate both mineralized systems remain open, while step out drilling at P-053 indicates a complex geometry with localized high grade and wide intersections.”
The company plans to resume drilling in 2016 at both Maniitsoq and to the north at Takissoq West.
Details of the recent drill program are available in the news release dated Nov. 10, 2015, posted at
