TORONTO – Glencore Xstrata plc subsidiary, Xstrata Canada Corp., announced that effective July 30, 2013, it has changed its name to Glencore Canada Corporation.
Among the Canadian operations that Glencore Canada controls are the Raglan, Bracemac-McLeod and Perseverance zinc-copper mines in Quebec, the recently closed Brunswick zinc-lead-copper mine in New Brunswick, the Kidd copper-zinc mine at Timmins, ON, and as well as Fraser copper and Nickel Rim South nickel-copper mines near Sudbury, ON. The company is also working on the Donkin coal project in Nova Scotia and several advanced exploration projects.
