MINING PEOPLE: SRK Consulting, Ram River Coal, and Zephyr Minerals

He brings 30 years to worldwide geo-environmental experience, nearly 20 of which have been with SRK (Canada), to the post. A geochemist by profession, Day specializes in developing waste management plans to address the leaching of mine wastes, particularly acid rock drainage. Day takes over from Daryl Hockley. Joseph Carrabba is the new president and CEO of Vancouver-based Ram River Coal Corp. He replaces William Lamb who becomes executive chairman of the board. Carrabba has more than 40 years of international experience working for multinational mining operations. Halifax-based Zephyr Minerals has appointed Will Felderhof executive chairman and Mark Graves as VP exploration. The company’s flagship project is the Dawson gold project in Colorado.
