Japan Gold Corp. of Vancouver has named Takashi Kuriyama its new general manager of exploration. He was most recently manager of global exploration at Sumitomo. He also served as a director of Teck Resources from 2006 to 2016. Quebec City-based Stelmine Canada has appointed Carole Gilbert to its board of directors. She practices corporate and commercial law, especially mergers and acquisitions. She is also a professional geologist. Teck Resources, with headquarters in Vancouver, has appointed two new vice-presidents: Ian Anderson for logistics and Andre Stark as marketing of coal and base metals. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Anderson joined the company in 2003 and was most recently the general manager of coal logistics. Stark joined Teck in 2012. He holds a diploma in industrial engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, a BCom in accounting and information systems from the University of South Africa, and a MBA in finance from Stellenbosch University.
