TITANIUM CORPORATION has promoted Andrew Cumming to the position of president and COO from that of executive VP. He has a PhD in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The company also said that CEO George Elliott plans to retire at the end of this year.

Consequent to the amalgamation of Northern Empire and Stornoway under the name STORNOWAY DIAMOND CORP., the management team has been consolidated. Eira Thomas has been appointed the CEO and president. She is well known for her previous involvement in the discovery of the Diavik deposit. John Robins and Catherine McLeod-Seltzer have been appointed co-chairs. Bruce McLeod is now chief operating officer.

RUBICON MINERALS of Vancouver has named Philip Marten to its board as an independent director. He is based in Toronto.

Reflecting an increased focus on global opportunities, Vancouver-based PATRIOT GOLD has added Ronald Blomkamp to its board of directors and as its president. Blomkamp holds a Diploma in Production Engineering from Witwatersrand College for Advanced Technology in South Africa, and for sixteen years he worked at Edward L Bateman, South Africa's leading mining services company. He has been a director of Bateman Mining Products, has worked extensively at the face of many of the world's deepest gold mines and across several facets of the industry, and has collaborated with the South African Chamber of Mines on rock mechanics, safety and efficiency. He holds several patents relating to advanced mining technology.

CROWFLIGHT MINERALS of Toronto has appointed Bryson Farrill to its board. Crowflight is a junior exploration company concentrating its efforts on a pair of properties near Sudbury, Ont.

Cedric E. Ritchie has been elected to the board of TWIN MINING CORP. He is chairman of the Business Development Bank of Canada and a former chairman of Scotia Bank.

TIBERON MINERALS of Calgary announced that Dr. Teunis Kwak has stepped down from the company's board of directors in order to provide a director's position to Mario Caron, Tiberon's recently appointed president and CEO. Dr. Kwak will be the first appointee to Tiberon's newly created advisory board.
