MINING PEOPLE IN THE NEWS: Harte Gold, Laurentian Goldfields and Thouchdown Resources

Harte Gold of Toronto has retained Roland M. Landry as project manager at its Sugar zone project in White River, ON. He is an experienced geologist who has worked for companies such as Rubicon Minerals, Baffinland, Placer Dome and Noranda.

The new president and CEO of Vancouver-based Laurentian Goldfields is Darin Labrenz, formerly of Terrane Metals and Placer Dome.

Hockey Hall of Fame member Denis Potvin has joined the board of Vancouver's Touchdown Resources. He was the No.1 draft pick in 1973 and played with the New York Islanders (including four successful Stanley Cup championships) until 1988.
