MINING PEOPLE IN THE NEWS: Bridgeport Ventures, Midland Exploration, Rocmec and Tower Hill

Bridgeport Ventures of Toronto has asked Wolf K. Seidler to joint its board of directors. He is a director of Inmet Mining and has over 35 years of mine engineering experience.

Montreal-based Midland Exploration has named Mario Masson to the role of VP exploration. He is credited with several mineral discoveries in Quebec.

The new VP operations at Rocmec Mining of Montreal is Jacques Proulx. He will oversee the study of the Rocmec 1 gold property and, hopefully, putting it into commercial production.

Vancouver's International Tower Hill Mines has hired Carl Brechtel as its new COO for the development of its Livengood project in Alaska. His operating and development expertise has been gained over 30+ years in North America, Australia, South America and Africa.
