Vancouver-based Guyana Goldstrike has invited Robert Stuart (Tookie) Angus to become an advisor to the company’s board of directors. He joins Sandy McVey and Dr. Tony Guo on the board. Angus is presently the chairman of San Marco Resources, K92 Mining and Kenadyr Mining (Holdings). Mazarin and its subsidiary Asbestos Corp. of Thetford Mines, Que., has named Guy Berard as executive VP. Vincent Martin former president and CEO of Orano Canada has stepped aside so that Jim Corman could replace him on Sept. 3, 2019. Corman was most recently director of projects and industrial support at Orano Mining in Paris, France. Previously he was VP operations, engineering and projects at Orano Canada in Saskatoon, Sask. Corman is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan’s geological engineering program. The newest member of the board at Spanish Mountain Gold in Vancouver is Sara Heston. She is also an independent director of the Denver Gold Group, and for the last six years VP of investment with ASA Gold and Precious Metals. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Columbia Business School.
