The new president and CEO of
Great Panther Silver in Vancouver is Jim Bannantine, effective Aug. 16, 2017. He was most recently the chief executive of Aura Minerals. Bannantine replaces Robert Archer, a co-founder of the Great Panther, who will remain on the board of directors.
Montreal-based
Osisko Metals has asked John Burzynski and Amy Satov to join its board. Burzynski, a founder of the Osisko group of companies, is also president, CEO and a director of Osisko Mining. Satov is a co-founder and currently CEO of Litron Distributors. The appointments take effect after the AGM on Aug. 28, 2017.
Scott Maloney will be the new VP environment at
Teck Resources in Vancouver beginning Sept. 18,2017. He succeeds Michael Davies, who has begun a phased retirement. Maloney joins Teck from BHP with more than 20 years of functional environmental experience. He holds a bachelor of chemical engineering (hons) from Monash University and a MBA from Curtin University.
