The new president and CEO will be Michael Callahan beginning Oct. 1, 2018. Callahan’s immediate focus will be to optimize the Idaho Cobalt feasibility study. The new president and CEO at Vancouver-based Edison Cobalt is Neil Pettigrew, who replaces Jeffrey Cocks. Pettigrew is the holder of a BSc (Hons) in environmental geochemistry from the University of New Brunswick and an MSc in earth sciences from the University of  Ottawa. Toronto’s Guyana Goldfields has named Ron Stewart its senior VP of technical services and corporate development. He has over 30 years of international experience and was until recently president and CEO of Beaufield Resources. Jochen Tilk is stepping down as executive chair and a director of Nutrien, effective Sept. 30, 2018, to pursue other opportunities. His duties will be taken up by current lead director Derek Pannell until the completion of the 2019 annual general meeting. Roxgold of Toronto has appointed Paul Weedon to the position of VP exploration. His 25 years of experience in Africa and Australasia includes exploration director for Newmont Mining’s Australian properties.
