Toronto’s Barrick Gold Corp. and Vancouver’s NovaGold Resources, partners in the Donlin gold project in Alaska, jointly announced the appointment of Andy Cole as general manager of the project. He comes to Donlin from Barrick where he was most recently responsible for permitting, energy, communications, community relations and corporate social responsibility. Prior to that, he served in a variety of senior operating roles, including general manager of both the Goldstrike and the Ruby Hill mines. Stan Foo, the outgoing Donlin manager, spent 12 years at the project.
Satori Resources of Toronto has named William Ansley as president and CEO. He was a member of two teams that placed six mines into production over an eight-year people in Sudbury and Timmins, ON.
