Pablo Marcet has joined the board of Toronto-based Barrick Gold. A native of Argentina, he is expected to play an important part in Barrick’s growth strategy in Latin America. Cameco Corp. of Saskatoon has named Kathryn J. Jackson as a director, effective Jan. 1, 2017. She was recently VP and chief technology officer of RTI International Metals where she was responsible for metallurgical technology, product and manufacturing activities. MWH, now a part of Stantec, has tasked David Rupay  with leading its Canadian hydropower operation. Jacques Perron has joined the board of Montreal-based Osisko Gold Royalties. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the mining industry most recently as CEO of Thompson Creek Metals. Prior to that, he headed St Andrew Goldfields and had VP positions at IamGold and Cambior. Premier Gold Mines of Thunder Bay, ON, has named Brent Kristof its new VP operations. He will oversee the company's Mercedes and South Arturo mines as well as participating in the development work for the McCoy-Cove and Hardrock projects. Rubicon Minerals  of Toronto has strengthened its board and management team with the following appointments: Peter R. Jones and David A.S. Palmer are joining the board; and Michael A. Willett will be director of projects.
