[caption id="attachment_1003722878" align="alignleft" width="198"] Motlanthe[/caption] Vancouver-based Ivanhoe Mines has invited former South African president Kgalema Motlanthe to join its board of directors. He was president of South Africa for a period between 2008 and 2009, and then served as deputy president from 2009 to 2014. Azimut Exploration, headquartered in Longueuil, Que., is strengthening its team with the appointments of Dr. Martin Tuchscherer as chief geologist exploration and Francois Bissonnette as operations manager. Bissonnette had been the company’s chief geologist since 2010. Tuchscherer was previously senior geologist at Osisko Mining. Toronto-based Cobalt Blockchain has confirmed that its management team is in place, including CEO Peter Hooper, president and COO Lance Hooper, VP exploration F. William (Bill) Nielsen, chairman and secretary H.J. (Jim) Blake, and CFO Philip Gibbs.
