Toronto’s Appia Energy Corp. has appointed James Sykes as VP exploration and development. He has been involved in the discovery of more than 350 million lb. of uranium oxide in five deposits in the Athabasca Basin. He will oversee the company’s drill program at the Loranger property. IDM Mining of Vancouver has named Natalie King as project manager and David Green as mine manager for the Red Mountain gold-silver project in British Columbia as underground drilling begins. [caption id="attachment_1003717609" align="alignright" width="228"] Brian Robertson, chairman, president and CEO of Source Exploration.[/caption] Brian Robertson is the newly appointed chairman of Source Exploration Corp. in Thunder Bay, Ont. He is also the company’s president and CEO. Robertson replaces outgoing executive chairman David Baker, who will remain on the board. QMX Gold Corp of Toronto has added Jules Riopel to its executive team as director of exploration. He recently held a similar post at Adventure Gold before it was acquired by Probe Metals. Riopel has spent most of his career in the Abitibi with companies including Richmont, Noranda and Cambior.
