MINING PEOPLE: Apogee Silver, Energizer, Excellon, Red Pine, and Sierra Metals

There have been two significant management changes at Apogee Silver of Toronto. Fred Leigh is now CEO, and Neil Said is corporate secretary.
Gordon Babcock is the new COO of Sierra Metals.

There have been two significant management changes at Apogee Silver of Toronto. Fred Leigh is now CEO, and Neil Said is corporate secretary.

Energizer Resources of Toronto has named Craig Scherba its new CEO following the departure of Richard Schler. Scherba, who lives in Madagascar, is also the company's president and COO.

Ned Goodman has rejoined the board of Toronto-based Excellon Resources. He previously sat on the board from April 2013 to February 2014. Goodman recently stepped down from his position as a director of Barrick Gold.

Red Pine Resources of Toronto has announced the appointment of Quentin Yarie as CEO following the resignation of Richard Schler. Yarie is also Red Pine's president and COO.

Gordon Babcock is now COO at Toronto-based Sierra Metals. He was recently COO of Jaguar Mining and holds a mining engineering degree from Queen's University. Additionally, Matthew Wunder has been named Sierra's VP exploration.
