Vancouver-based Altair Resources has named Harold Shipes its new CEO. He brings more than four decades of precious metals production, engineering, and project development management experience to the post. Aurvista Gold Corp. of Montreal has added the following people to its team advancing the Douay gold project: Alex Horvath, exploration manager Canada; Peter Kareise, mineral resources-project development co-ordinator; Yvan Bussieres, Douay gold project co-ordinator; and Antoine Yassa, database co-ordinator. [caption id="attachment_1003717127" align="alignright" width="125"] Karl Hanneman, CEO, International Tower Hill Mines.[/caption] Karl Hanneman will add the CEO’s responsibilities to those he currently holds as COO at International Tower Hill Mines of Vancouver. Iain Scarr has been promoted to COO at Vancouver-based Millennial Lithium Corp. Previously, he was the company’s VP development and exploration. Toronto’s Wesdome Gold Mines has appointed Marc-Andre Pelletier as VP of operations for Quebec. He will be in charge of the Kiena gold mine advanced exploration program. He was recently VP operations at St Andrew Goldfields.
