MINERAL PROCESSING: FLSmidth wins contract for Lac a Pal phosphate plant

QUEBEC – Arianne Phosphate, as part of advancing the Lac à Paul phosphate project the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, has signed a memorandum of understanding with FLSmidth to provide all production equipment and engineering for the future plant, in collaboration with the various key suppliers involved in the Lac à Paul project development.   [caption id="attachment_1003718012" align="alignleft" width="300"] An aerial view of what will be the Lac a Paul phosphate mine. (Credit: Arianne Phosphate).[/caption] As with other recent agreements, partners selected come with both strong technical ability as well as the ability to assist Arianne in sourcing the necessary financing solutions. To this end, FLSmidth has introduced Arianne's Lac à Paul project to the official Danish export credit agency Eksport Kredit Fonden, an agency that supports commercial agreements by assisting with credit arrangements. FLSmidth is a leader in phosphate processing technologies covering the full flowsheet – SAG and ball milling, cycloning, low intensity magnetic separation, flotation, and dewatering. The processing plant will have a capacity of 55,000 t/d, producing 3.0 million t/y of high purity apatite concentrate.
