MINE CLOSURE: Breakwater suspends mining at Langlois and Myra Falls

TORONTO BREAKWATER RESOURCES has temporarily suspended operations at both the Langlois zinc-copper mine in northern Quebec and the Myra Falls zinc-lead property on Vancouver Island. The company blames both declining commodity prices and the "general deterioration of the short-term economic outlook globally."

Temporary layoffs and the reduction of workforces is expected. See also www.Breakwater.ca.
