SGS Minerals is pleased to announce the opening of a new sample preparation facility in Whitehorse. This marks the expansion of SGS's unparalleled commercial geochemistry laboratory network in Canada, and the network's first sample preparation lab in the Yukon.

"SGS is constantly reviewing opportunities to expand services and is committed to servicing the minerals industry globally. Our new Whitehorse laboratory has been strategically located to service the growing needs of the minerals exploration industry throughout the entire value chain in the Yukon," said Lawrence Ng.
The facility is equipped to provide drying, grinding, crushing, pulverizing and soil screening capabilities. Sample preparation can be completed on the following sample types: core samples, reverse circulation chips, rock samples, trench samples, and soil samples.
The new Whitehorse laboratory will integrate with SGS' currently unmatched commercial geochemistry laboratory network. In Canada the company has labs in Lakefield, Ont., Cochrane, Ont., Red Lake, Ont., Sudbury, Ont., Val-d'Or, Que., and Vancouver, B.C .
