OTTAWA and QUEBEC CITY –
CanmetMINING and
COREM have signed a co-operation agreement to meet the needs of Canada’s mining industry as it embraces innovation. The aim is to reduce the risk of adopting new technology that supports sustainability and competitiveness.
The two hope to leverage their joint expertise and capability on projects of importance to the mining sector.
CanmetMINING is part of Natural Resources Canada that works in partnership with stakeholders to develop and deploy green mining technologies. The department conducts research and development across all of a mine’s life. CanmetMINING has unique multidisciplinary expertise and facilities with research laboratories in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia. For more information, please visit

COREM is a center of expertise and innovation specializing in ore processing with the largest concentration of resources devoted to research and development in this field in Canada. It has extensive equipment and infrastructure including a 5,300 m
