BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-based
Westhaven Ventures continues to drill its Shovelnose gold property 30 km south of Merritt, and it is finding long and strong grades.
Drilling continues to intersect the zone 1 vein system as the South zone. Here are some highlights:
- SN19-02: 17.9 metres of 3.70 g/t gold and 32.64 g/t silver, including 7.9 metres of 7.00 g/t gold and 59.13 g/t silver, and 0.5 metre of 13.65 g/t gold and 36.50 g/t silver;
- SN19-03: 5.0 metres of 1.60 g/t gold and 6.66 g/t silver and 1.0 metre of 3.52 g/t gold and 2.90 g/t silver;
- SN19-04: 20.3 metres of 1.02 g/t gold and 9.98 g/t silver, including 4.0 metres of 2.52 g/t gold and 31.15 g/t silver; and
- SN19-05: 28.7 metres of 2.97 g/t gold and 13.68 g/t silver, including: 15. 5 metres of 4.77 g/t gold and 21.77 g/t silver, including 6.5 metres of 8.55 g/t gold and 38.55 g/t silver, including 1.6 metres of 32.60 g/t gold and 130.68 g/t silver.
This is Westhaven’s initial drill program at Shovelnose and the work continues to expand the high grade South zone discovery. A second drill is to be added to the program early this summer.
Shovelnose has an inferred resource of 10.1 tonnes averaging 0.51 g/t gold for 166,000 contained oz. A cut-off of 0.30 g/t gold was used.
