QUEBEC – Uragold Bay Resources of Montreal is ready for the next step at its Beauce placer gold project 75 km southeast of Quebec City. Quebec's agricultural land protection commission (CTPAQ) has issued a ruling granting the company a five year, renewable authorization for mining activities at the site. The permission of the CTPAQ is necessary before work can start at Beauce.
Uragold has brought modern exploration techniques to its Beauce property in hopes of finding the bedrock source of the alluvial gold. When placer mining begins, it will generate cash to continue the hunt. The company is in the final permitting stage for a 20-year placer mining lease.
