QUEBEC – Drilling and trenching by Sirios Resources of Montreal has confirmed the gold mineralization along the tonalite/meta-sediments contact at the Cheechoo project for at least 1,400 metres. The project is in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay area in the northern part of the province. [caption id="attachment_1003721991" align="alignright" width="300"] Sirios has been cutting high gold grades at Cheechoo since early last year. (Image: Sirios Resources)[/caption] The gold mineralization is open both along strike and at depth. Gold is found not only in the contact zone but also in several other zones within the tonalite. Most of the holes returned long intersections and less than 1.0 g/t gold. However, hole 119 returned 64.9 metres that assayed 1.1 g/t, including 0.6 metres at 90.6 g/t gold. The high grade portion of this hole was cut to 50 g/t gold. Hole 118 returned 37.6 metres averaging 1.0 g/t gold, including 0.5 metre at 34.3 g/t gold. Visit www.Sirios.com for more information.
