(Image: Sage Gold)[/caption] ONTARIO – Sage Gold of Toronto says the first doré bar has been poured using the first bulk sample material from the Clavos gold mine 45 km northeast of Timmins. The ore was treated at the Stock mill owned by McEwen Mining 10 km from the mine. About 476 oz. of gold was recovered. The Clavos mine was recently connected to the power grid, and the diesel generators have been turned off. Dewatering and rehabilitation has been completed over 90% of the underground workings. The project is fully permitted for 700-t/d operation. Sage is planning an active definition and exploration drill program to update and increase the existing resource estimate. Surface drilling of the gap between the Main and 960 zones has already identified an extension of the hanging wall zone to the west of the current workings and discovered a new sediment zone. Definition drilling is already underway to verify grade in the existing resource blocks. Visit www.SageGoldInc.com and enjoy the Clavos photo gallery.
