YUKON - Vancouver-based Northern Freegold Resources has updated the 43-101 mineral resource estimate for the Nucleus deposit at its Freegold Mountain project 200 km northwest of Whitehorse, in the Tintina Gold Belt. Using a 0.4 g/t cutoff, the inferred resource stands at 35.82 million tonnes averaging 0.87 g/t Au. The deposit contains an estimated 1.0 million oz of gold. Within the deposit is a higher grade zone of 2.24 million tonnes at 2.55 g/t Au or 184,000 contained oz.
The company noted that the grade of the Nucleus zone is 32% higher and the contained ounces are up 31% from the 43-101 report released in July 2009. Moreover, the mineralization begins at surface and is open in all directions and at depth.
Information on the 2010 exploration program will be posted at www.NorthernFreegold.com when it becomes available.
