GOLD RESOURCES: Latest count at Rainy River tops 5.7-M oz

ONTARIO – The updated resource numbers from Rainy River Resources of Toronto add up to more than 5.7 million oz of gold at its Rainy River project 80 km south of Kenora. The 43-101 report was prepared by SRK Consulting (Canada).

ONTARIO – The updated resource numbers from Rainy River Resources of Toronto add up to more than 5.7 million oz of gold at its Rainy River project 80 km south of Kenora. The 43-101 report was prepared by SRK Consulting (Canada).

The measured and indicated resources total 150.8 million tonnes grading 1.18 g/t Au and containing 5.7 million oz of gold. The inferred portion totals 88.5 million tonnes at 0.79 g/t Au and containing 2.2 million oz of gold. The silver content of the resource is 12.0 million oz and 6.8 million oz, respectively. The estimate is inclusive of in pit, out of pit and underground mineralization.

Rainy River currently has a dozen drills at the project to complete 150,000 metres of drilling in 2012. A feasibility study is due in mid-2012.
