QUEBEC –
QMX Gold Corp. reports very high grade drilling results from its Bevcon gold target – including a bonanza-worthy 137.5 g/t gold over 3.7 metres. Bevcon lies east of Val d’Or, 4 km southeast of the Bonnefond deposit and 1.7 km southeast of the New Louvre target.
The drill holes are located along the west half of the north contact of the Bevcon intrusion. Highlights from recent drilling include:
- Hole 17311-18-015: 84.8 g/t over 6.0 metres, including 137.5 g/t over 3.7 metres;
- Hole 17311-18-017: 10.8 g/t over 4.3 metres;
- Hole 17311-18-010: 24.1 g/t over 0.8 metre;
- Hole 17311-18-018: 11.4 g/t over 1.2 metre; and
- Hole 17311-18-028: 8.2 g/t over 1.2 metre.
QMX VP exploration Dr. Andreas Rompel says confidence in the company’s drilling strategy is confirmed, and the goal is now to expand resources into the Bevcon region.
The northern margin of the Bevcon intrusion hosts the former Bevcon gold mine, and gold mineralization is known to extend below a depth of 1000 metres. More exploration of this target is planned.
QMX also owns the Aurbel mill where ore from any of the company’s properties could be treated. Please see the corporate presentation at
