Garrison long section showing areas where drilling by Osisko has expanded the known mineralization.[/caption]
ONTARIO – Montreal’s
Osisko Mining has intersected bonanza grades – 45.0 g/t gold over 2.4 metres – at its Garrison gold project 40 km north of Kirkland Lake. New results also include 7.66 g/t over 2.8 metres, and 6.44 g/t over 2.0 metres in OSK-G17-346; and 2.76 g/t over 5.6 metres and 1.69 g/t over 14.5 metres in OSK-G17-341.
Osisko says these results demonstrate the potential to expand the mineralization in the 903 zone and beneath the Garrcon zone. The company is drilling a 35,000-metre program to test the 903, Garrcon and Jonpol zones.
When a resource estimate was done for the Garrison property in 2014 there were 30.1 million measured and indicated tonnes with an average grade of 1.24 g/t gold containing 1.2 million oz. plus 7.9 million inferred tonnes at 3.19 g/t containing 808,000 oz. of gold.
