NORTHWEST TERRITORIES –
Nighthawk Gold Corp. of Toronto says it has made additional gold discoveries at its Indin Lake project 200 km north of Yellowknife.
Chief among them was a high grade gold showing at Treasure Island called the Seadog showing. Grab samples assayed as high as 27.80 g/t gold, and a 1.0-metre channel sample was 19.85 g/t.
A new gold zone was also found within the Nice Lake Sill, a 20-metre wide quartz diorite sill that is exposed for over 160 metres. Grab samples assayed up to 4.19 g/t gold.
A new 1.6 by 1.0-km gold anomaly at the Swamp prospect is a deformation and alteration zone. Grab samples assayed up to 4.33 g/t.
Nighthawk now holds approximately 900 sq. km, representing more than 90% of the prospective Indin Lake Greenstone Belt. A regional exploration program beginning in early June is planned to advance these new discoveries.
