QUEBEC –
Chalice Gold Mines of Perth, Western Australia, says drilling at its East Cadillac project has traced the gold mineralization more than 3.5 km along strike on the Larder Lake-Cadillac Fault. The project is located 35 km east of Val d’Or.
Significant new assays include the following:
- Hole ECG-18-21: 11.6 metres at 3.32 g/t gold, including 1.6 metres at 18.52 g/t at the Simon West prospect; and
- Hole ECG-18-24: 6.5 metres at 1.77 g/t gold at the North Contact prospect.
Chalice has four rigs working on its 29,000-metre winter drill program. The East Cadillac property is just west of the Chimo mine boundary, and Chalice has an option agreement with Monarques Gold to earn a 70% interest by spending $3.1 million and making option payments totaling $200,000. Drilling along the Northern Contact is subject to an option with Globex Mining to earn a 100% interest by spending $2.5 million and making option payments of $590,000.
