Iamgold Corp. is sharing more results from its winter drilling program at the Rouyn gold project optioned from
Yorbeau Resources. The property is located 4 km south of Rouyn-Noranda and 45 km southwest of Iamgold’s Westwood gold mine.
Highlights from drilling at the Lac Gamble zone:
- Hole GA-19-693: 10.9 metres grading 6.6 g/t gold, including 2 metres at 12.1 g/t;
- Hole GA-19-694: 29.7 metres grading 9.0 g/t gold, including 1 metres at 17.5 g/t, including 3.0 metres grading 53.0 g/t;
- Hole GA-19-699: 12.8 metres grading 3.7 g/t gold, including 0 metres at 7.9 g/t, including 1.6 metres at 16.8 g/t; and
- Hole GA-19-715: 3.3 metres grading 9.0 g/t gold, including 8 metre at 35.9 g/t.
Iamgold’s is drilling on a 50 x 50 metre grid, and it will be compiling a resource estimate for Rouyn. The property covers a 12-km stretch of the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break that hosts four known gold deposits.
