NEVADA ROCMEC MINING of Montreal and GREAT BASIN GOLD of Vancouver have joined forces to test Rocmec's thermal fragmentation system in Great Basin's Hollister gold mine near the northern end of the Carlin Trend.
According to Rocmec, thermal fragmentation reduces dilution when mining high-grade vein deposits, such as the one at Hollister. In June 2008 measured and indicated resources were 1.33 million tonnes grading 31.76 g/t Au, or 1.6 million oz. Underground trial mining began on two veins in August 2008.
The Hollister technical report is available at www.GreatBasinGold.com.
