MAS Gold Corp. has released more positive results from early metallurgical work on composite drill core samples from the North Lake gold deposit in the La Ronge gold belt.
Blue Coast Research conducted preliminary flotation tests, a Bond ball mill work index test, and an extended gravity recoverable gold test. Over 89% of the gold was recovered in the flotation tests on five sub-samples. A standard bulk flowsheet was employed.
The Bond index indicated medium hardness, and total sulphur recovery to flotation concentrate was better than 93%. The results of positive cyanidation recovery tests were reported in September.
