(Image: Lundin Gold)[/caption] ECUADOR – Vancouver-based Lundin Gold held the inauguration ceremony of its Fruta del Norte gold project on Nov. 14. The event was attended by all levels of government authorities, representatives from the Canadian embassy, major shareholders, financiers, community representatives, partner organizations, media, contractors and company personnel. Two days later, on Nov. 16, the mine poured its first doré bar from the gravity circuit at the mine. Lundin is already producing gold-bearing concentrate and has prepared the first containers for shipment. The commissioning of the carbon-in-leach circuit continues and will be complete soon. The first export of concentrate and doré is anticipated by mid-December. See also www.LundinGold.com.
