QUEBEC – This year’s winter drilling at the Monster Lake gold project 44 km southwest of Chibougamau is turning up some widly differing assay results. Operator and 50% owner
Iamgold of Toronto has tested two shear zones on behalf of 45% owner
TomaGold and 5% owner
Quinto Resources.
In the Annie shear zone, hole ML19-244 cut 0.8 metre of 357.0 g/t gold. Hole 248 cut 6.8 metres of 3.85 g/t, including 1.7 metre of 6.43 g/t. Hole 249 returned 0.5 metre of 133.0 g/t gold.
At the Big Mama shear zone, hole ML19-245 assayed 2.27 g/t gold over 13.0 metres, including 6.45 g/t over 1.39 metre and 7.65 g/t over 1.5 metre.
The Monster Lake deposit had resources of 1.1 million inferred tonnes grading 12.14 g/t gold for 433,300 oz. at the end of last year.
