QUEBEC AURIZON MINES of Vancouver has completed drilling 397 holes totalling 118,600 metres at its Joanna gold project 20 km from Rouyn-Noranda, and the results conform combined and continuous thicknesses of between 20 and 60 metres, and in some cases 80 metres locally.
The intersections came from three separate drill holes. Hole 306 assayed 0.7 g/t Au over a true width of 22.0 metres and 1.6 g/t Au over a true width of 33.0 metres. Hole 311 intersected 0.9 g/t over 17.6 metres, 1.0 g/t over 8.8 metres and 1.1 g/t over 19.1 metres, for a combined true width of 45.5 metres. The third hole, No.322, assayed 1.6 g/t Au over a true width of 55.3 metres.
The Joanna property is located along the Cadillac Break. It extends east-west for more than 8 km and reaches 3 km in width. Results of this year's infill drilling program will be applied to a resource estimated expected later this year, and a pre-feasibility study will be produced in Q2 2009.
