QUEBEC Montreal-based YORBEAU RESOURCES has received regulatory approval to dewater and rehabilitate the Augmitto gold mine a few kilometres south of Rouyn-Noranda.

The companys Rouyn property, including the Augmitto mine, straddles the Larder Lake Break. The current work program will explore the mineralized corridor at depth and the eastern extension of the Augmitto deposit. Drilling will be conducted both from surface and underground, and a 100,000-t bulk sample will be taken beginning in Q4 2007.

Existing infrastructure includes a 1,140-m ramp to a depth of approximately 180 m, a 275-m shaft, and extensive drifting on several levels. The historical resource consists of a total diluted reserve of 1.7 million t averaging 5.65 g/t Au in the proven, probable and possible categories using a cut-off of 2.6 g/t.

Yorbeau (www.YorbeauResources.com) has engaged GENIVAR to perform the dewatering, rehabilitation and sampling work.
